Infusing the philosophy of zero waste into a thoughtful range of products, Sahar Mansoor hopes to inspire true change with her brand Bare Necessities
YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: SAHAR MANSOOR is a name to know. The founder of Bengaluru-based wellness brand, Bare Necessities, Mansoor follows a zero-waste lifestyle and the philosophy is more than a passing fad to her.
Bare Necessities offers a range of nourishing, cleansing products, including bath salts, body scrubs, and lip balms, as well as a smaller collection of household cleaning products. What sets the brand apart? Its driving ideology is centred on the principles of zero waste, ethical consumption, and sustainability. Zero waste refers to a lifestyle where all products and resources are reused responsibly, to the end that no garbage ends up in landfills or incinerators. Mirroring the pattern with which resources are reused in nature, this concept is very important to Mansoor—“All our products are organic, locally sourced, fair trade, non-toxic, non-GMO, and cruelty-free.” The brand’s Espresso Yourself Coffee Body Scrub, for example, boasts both organic coffee and coconut oil.
