PW: Your Childhood...
My childhood like every child was very playful and full of creativity. I enjoyed participating in dramas dance and music. Somehow at the age of five ...I intuitively knew that I will become an actress when I grow up. And today I am living my dream by the grace of God.
PW: Share your experience as a Model, South Actress and Television Celebrity...
Modelling was very enjoyable and I had a great career as a model. I travelled to different cities and countries and also modelled for Pakistan, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Srilanka ...but it eventually became stagnant and there was no creative satisfaction for me as an actor...so I accepted offers from the South movie industry. Working in South films was good creatively but acting in a language that was unknown to me was very challenging and difficult and hence not that enjoyable.
PW: I soon decided to quit Regional South films for National Television where the reach was much bigger.
Television today is huge and every Bollywood actor and production house wants to be on television for its large-scale visibility, international reach and popularity factor. In fact my show ‘Beintehaa’ was dubbed and released in Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Pakistan and South Africa where it became a huge hit and got me tons of international fans.
PW: How come you skipped Bollywood when you were getting such good offers?
