Yes, we need moderate exposure to the sun in order to provide the body with the essential vitamin D.
However, excessive exposure, or exposure during the hottest part of the day can easily cause painful sunburn. Contrary to what you might think, you don’t have to be out on the beach sunbathing to get sunburn. Even a brief exposure to the ultraviolet radiation from the sun can cause damage to the skin if you are not careful.
The redness of the skin and the burning sensation you experience are not the real damage; they are the result of your body’s response to the damage already caused to the DNA of the cells. It is always better to prevent sunburn because DNA damage can result in premature aging of the skin. It is a major cause of skin cancers too. But once the damage is done, the best we can do is try to relieve the pain and suffering. Here are number of home remedies to help you with that. All of them contain simple ingredients that you can find in your kitchen and pantry.

AndrĂ© Beauregard â Canus
Customer service is always important and, in this case, it was life-changing. He listened to his client and didnât just hear a request, but rather he saw potential for a business opportunity. That potential combined with hard work resulted in the birth of Canus, the leading fresh goatâs milk heath and beauty products company. Based on our interview with the founder, Andre Beauregard, it seems 20 year later he is just as dedicated to his customers and clients.

Rohingya Refugee Crisis - Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh & World Food Programme
She describes the current situation like, “a never-ending camping trip from hell with no supplies and the monsoons are coming”. Despite the efforts from the World Food Programme (WFP) and numerous other organizations, the Rohingya refugee crisis in Cox’s Bazar is far from over.
Mom & Dad
Get ready, it’s that time of year when posts with mom and dad or about mom and dad are going to start popping up on your news feeds. While the people in our lives that act as our caregivers should not only be celebrated on one day, having specific days set aside for them is a good reminder to cherish and appreciate them. By appreciate and cherish, we don’t just mean posting a picture of them online and saying a few nice words. They deserve much more than that and so we have compiled a few suggestions for both Mother’s Day and Father’s Day that are great ways of showing them an instance of your love.

TFW/BTS: Triarchy
I step out of the subway on a late Monday afternoon, trudging through the snow down Avenue Road, catching glimpses of fellow Toronto Fashion Week attendees. We all gravitate towards the red carpet like a moth to a flame. I step inside and am swept up staircases, past security checkpoints and velvet couches; models elegantly sipping Fiji water from straws between sittings. Today is the first day of Toronto Fashion Week and backstage is buzzing with energy. We had the opportunity to chat with makeup artist Simone Otis, industry legend whose portfolio ranges from the infamous “Got Milk?” ads to Vogue, who was awarded the best editorial makeup artist of the year at the P&G Beauty Awards. Simone partnered up with beautyBoutique by Shoppers Drug Mart and was responsible for the looks behind Triarchy, a sustainable luxury denim brand based out of Toronto and LA spearheaded by brother sister duo Ania and Adam Taubenfligel.
Narces - Nikki Wirthensohn Yassemi
The pattern of after-five outfits did not conclude with UNTTLD on the first day of TFW, Narces presented its incomparable line of meticulously crafted gowns and dresses shortly after. A specialist of vêtements de soirée, head designer Nikki Yassemi exhilarated her audience with unique mesh pieces embellished with ruffles and fringe that are completely fresh to the common eye. SHE met with the dressmaker after showcasing her glamorous collection on the runway, which was heavily inspired by her mother’s early works and strong personal desire to be innovative.
