Greek Yogurt

According to Brigitte Zeitlin, R.D., a nutritionist in New York, NY, Greek is the “gold standard” when it comes to yogurt. “It’s really high in protein, which is a vital part of your diet, and gives you energy to stay focused. It’s also a great source of calcium—vital for teens—and is low in sugar. It hits all the marks.” If dairy is your thing, it’s a good pick.

French Style

Think of this as your sweet treat. This whole-milk type is made in small batches and sold in individualsize glass jars. (Hello, eco!) It has a thick, creamy texture and often comes with a layer of fruit flavoring on top. “That causes it to have more sugars than other yogurts,” Zeitlin says. “But it has probiotics and protein, although less than Greek.”
