Has happiness been an elusive dream lately? Is sadness constantly weighing you down?ANDANJEWOBANDAgives you everyday pointers on how to find and keep happiness, forever.
Almost everything we do: marriage, travels or just switching jobs, is geared towards trying to capture, enhance and secure happiness.
In its most basic definition, happiness is having frequent positive experiences and few negative experiences. Scientists pin it down to a chemical reaction that results from endorphins and dopamine (happiness chemicals) filling the pleasure centres in your brain.
So how do you make sure you have frequent positive experiences?
ACKNOWLEDGE THAT HAPPINESS IS A STATE OF MIND
Happiness is not dependent on how much money you have in your bank account or who you know in life. It is determined by what happens within you. How you feel inside. If you feel bad or sad all the time, then guess what? You will only see bad and sad things around you. So what should you do? Choose to be happy and you will be happy. As long as you have basic needs, happiness will solely depend on what you choose to focus on. Happiness can be practiced the same way you can practice handwriting or knitting.
ACCEPT BOTH THE GOOD AND THE BAD
Accept that in life there are seasons. There are times to be sad, to have fear, to be anxious or to be frustrated. Know all these emotions and instead of hiding from them, allow yourself to be human and feel them. Hiding from them will only make you frustrated and unhappy.
