Shivan Bhatiya and Narresh Kukreja could be travel influencers if it weren’t for their day job. Fantastical images of their trips abroad splashed across Instagram aren’t merely a by-product of their day job. If anything, for these travel lovers, their 10-year-old label Shivan & Narresh is a by-product of their travels. But really, their journey began 17 years ago in the corridors of NIFT, where their love of travel eventually led to the launch of a never-been-done-before Indian swimwear label. “If we pick a category that helps people to go on holiday, it’ll help us holiday all the time,” says Kukreja, who recalls how a trip to Bali, which they won in a fashion design contest, led them down the path of swimwear.
