When Patek Philippe revealed new watches this year, we had to consider which ones to feature first. Last issue, we covered Ref. 6007A and almost all the other new pieces are online now at Luxuo.com. There was one embarrassing oversight though, which we will address now. Ref. 5303 is near and dear to our collective hearts here, made as it is for Singapore. It was the first Patek Philippe minute repeater to feature the hammers and gongs dial-side; this has not even been done in grand complications from the manufacture. Patek Philippe also deployed a transparent sapphire crystal dial, revealing the rest of the manual-winding calibre R TO 27 PS. This is also significant because movement reveals dial-side do not occur willy-nilly at Patek Philippe.
