Pace it out!

The digital era

This Coronavirus crisis has made our lives online! Most of our activities are now virtual and the social media network has become the bridge to connect us.

Whatever happened to all those athletes who would gather every morning and go for a long run or cycle down the way with a group of friends? With traveling restrictions and social distancing, such a group activity has received a setback.

Strava, the social network for athletes, launched in 2009, is a rendezvous for the athletes. The app allows people to connect and allows them to share their activity with other users across the world!

Why are we talking about this app?

Diabetes management is not just about medication. It starts with diet, exercise, and lifestyle modifications. Many times, we all need the motivation to reform our sedentary lifestyle into a more physically active one. Strava app is not just an app on a mobile phone, but it is more of a community of all physically active runners, cyclists, trekkers, and even people who just enjoy walking.

The joy of sharing and feeling proud and being appreciated for your physical activity is what the Strava community provides you!
