The Yoga Shastras have clearly mentioned that every human being must understand and recognize himself. He must find the answers for what am I, what do I have to do, what is my role, what kind of thoughts come into my mind, what Karmas (actions) am I doing, etc. All our actions have consequences that we have to face. The words that you use, write, do, everything is important. It is only you who is going to get affected by these thoughts and actions, nobody else. We must, therefore, be very clear to find and recognize ourselves.
While living in the material world, we have to adjust according to the external environment as well. Our thoughts and actions can vary, depending on the behavior and reactions of others. There are all kinds of people in this world, and we must know how to handle them and live cordially. After all, even you have to earn money, name, and fame. The philosophy of the material world is that money keeps changing hands, it's not possible that it will stay with you forever. So, aspire for only as much money as that which will help you to perform your duties and to take care of yourself. There should be a proper balance and management of material things for a healthy way of living.
