Your day is full of change, so why shouldn’t your accessories also be able to change throughout the day? An interchangeable watchband design by Terrena’s Treasures.
DESIGNER’S NOTE
This design requires the watch to have loops on either side to attach bands. Our watch face does not, so we prepared it by adding 5mm split rings to loops on either side.
EVERYDAY WEAR WATCHBAND STEP ONE
String beads onto SMC in the following sequence: MSS, 6mm FPR, MSS, FO, MSS, 10mm FPR, MSS, FO, MSS, 10mm FPR, MSS, FO, MSS, 10mm FPR, MSS, FO, MSS, 6mm FPR, MSS.
STEP TWO
Close any open loops on the back of the ring bolt clasp, thread onto one tail of the SMC. Thread the tail back down through the beads until the tail is in the centre of your band. Repeat this step again with opposite side so now the tails should meet in the centre of your band. See Diagram 1.
Make sure that the loops on the back of the ring bolt clasp go inside the metal silver spacer. Pull SMC reasonably tight. Now tie using a surgeon’s knot and dab with glue/nail polish. Because you have pulled firmly the knot should slide back inside on of the larger beads when you release it.
CASUAL/FANCY WATCHBAND STEP ONE
Lay out assortment of beads onto work area. Thread up headpins into 35 beaded units. Example: 1 x seed bead, 1 x red foil, 1 x seed bead. Repeat with 6 eyepins, add the charms to the loop on the bottom of the eyepins and then add beads to the pin. Design Note: We are going to call these ‘units’ in this pattern. It is easier to make up all the headpin/eyepin units (not turned yet) first and lay them out on your work area to make sure they all look OK.
