TAKE A TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE - OLD SCHOOL STYLE

Traditional styles of housing have a charm you just don’t see anymore. Built during a time when cost wasn’t the overriding factor, these houses came to signify the era in which they were built and represented the hopes, dreams and general sentiments of society as a whole. They even had grand names such as Edwardian and Victorian, which were the names of the reigning monarchs when the styles arose, or the uniquely Australian Federation style, which came about during the hope and prosperity of a new nation that was about to form.

Coinciding with the reign of Queen Victoria, this period can be broken up into the early, mid and late eras. Each of these was more decorative and ornate than the last.
