A BOW THAT CREATES A GREAT FIRST IMPRESSION and continues to impress is a rarity indeed. This is especially true for fresh Christmas wreath bows. However, Lynch Creek Farm has perfected their wreaths, bow-making, and packaging process so that each wreath arrives in beautiful condition, with a perfectly tied bow, and it remains that way through the season.
Lynch Creek Farm began in 1980 as a hobby farm in Shelton, Washington, run by the Hunter family. In the early days of the farm, the Hunters grew organic vegetables and sold their produce at the Shelton Farmers Market on the weekends. Later, the farm broadened to include flowers, seasonal bouquets, and they introduced their first evergreen Christmas wreaths, which allowed them to stay at the market through the winter season. By the 1990s, the family had opened a flower shop on the family property and began selling fresh flower bouquets out of a small house, originally built for their Gramma Hunter.
With excellent service and many decorated wreath designs and fresh centerpieces to choose from, plus the addition of online sales and a yearly color catalog, the business has steadily grown each year. Lynch Creek Farm is now operating from a total of 200,000 square feet on 15 acres of land with the help of almost 500 employees and many more support staff. Their team of 20 bow makers are hand-tying bows all year long to get ready for the next Christmas season. We asked members of the Lynch Creek Farm team to tell us more about their exceptional bow-making operation.
