DECORATING FOR CHRISTMAS typically entails taking boxes and boxes of seasonal ornaments down from shelves, dusting them off and trying to figure out where and how to display them. But for a more sophisticated, curated look, consider showcasing your vintage items in ways that will delight you and your guests at this special time of year.
Emily Baker turned her passion for collecting and displaying vintage pieces into her profession, selling wonderful secondhand items in a resale shop and filling her Instagram page (@weatheredwaresandco) with beautifully styled photos that inspire her many followers. Emily shares her favorite ways to find hidden gems and create vintage vignettes for the holiday season.
“My vignettes are personal and represent my visions, and there really aren’t any rules that I follow when I create them; however, there are a few tricks that I have learned over the years,” Emily says. “Vintage Christmas wares are my favorite things to collect, and I have a lot of them! I love the challenge of figuring out how to make things work together—it’s like a puzzle to me.”
