What inspired you to create your brand?
I studied printed textile design in NCAD – straight after graduating I was approached by an architect that was working on a high-end beauty salon called OSLO beauty. I hadn’t ever dreamed of owning my own business so early on in the game, however this was an opportunity that I couldn’t refuse. I was enlisted to create a number of specialised fabrics for the fit out – and so Aoife Mullane Design was born.
Describe the range of products in your collection?
I design fabrics – so the possibility of application is pretty much endless. My most popular products would be luxurious cushions, statement metallic lampshades and wall hangings. I work alongside architects and interior designers on both commercial and residential projects and often my fabrics are used for upholstery, curtains or headboards.
