This has trend has increased the risk of floods, and a drastic drop in air quality in many urban areas. This disconnect from nature by the new generation of Vietnamese people was what provoked the VTN Architects to envisage an abode amidst the greens.
The staircase defines an authentic charm
The residence echoes a blend of nature and built integrated seamlessly
‘House for Trees’ is an inspiring concept developed to integrate green space within the high-density neighbourhood. Vietnam has a distinct style of modernism rooted in a rationality that resonates with its rich history of architecture. As the recent project in the series, Stacked Planters House strives to bring greens back to the city and forge an intimate relationship between human and nature. The house is neatly set in a planned urban context, where the residents built up to the maximum allowable height. Exterior view with horizontal and vertical elements intricately invoke a soothing mood of a clinical and skilful design approach. A fusion of nature and built form, risen together in a harmonious balance. Special care and attention to local and natural materials are one of the striking elements in this house. The living spaces were carved while giving paramount importance to include green spaces in it. Each house now serves as a small park in the dense scenario. Every function inside is packed into a concrete box that is seemingly stacked randomly generating stark contrast and curiosity. The horizontal concrete slabs between boxes are made as terraces where the vegetation thrives. The semi-outdoor spaces exude out as living and dining spaces where people congregate.
