THE TALE OF A NEOTERIC SARPANCH
It can be seen as a statement of its geographical location and the climate cycle it endures year round. However, with the advent of technology and urbanization, the world as we know became more cohesive. This wave of change swept the realms of architecture and design as well. Though still a bold statement nevertheless, the new architectural vocabulary empowered by modern materials and techniques of construction seemed to reach out for a global audience. This project narrates the story of one such family that dared do dream beyond.

The elemental spiral stair winding up to the office above

Located in small village in Gujarat called Talangpore, this residence is home to the Sarpanch (the village head) and his family. Perched in an authentic rural setting, amidst cow sheds, pasture grounds and vernacular houses, is an amusing composition of cubes in white and subtle shades of brown that greets the onlooker with awe. This abode was crafted in all its magnificence by the team of Neogenesis + Studi0261 based in Surat. The design approach was based on the simple yet straight forward requirements stated by the client on how the structure needs to stand out from its surroundings.
