It’s an attractive way to display like-minded houseplants

Make A Miniature Garden

Growing houseplants as a miniature garden is a fantastic way to display them, grouped together in a bowl. You can choose a theme, such as plant or leaf shape, foliage colour or texture, but for long-term success all the plants need to grow within a similar light intensity, humidity level and temperature range.

For example, a group of ferns and mosses suit a low-light and high-humidity position, such as in a bathroom away from direct sunlight. For a sunny windowsill, a selection of succulents, such as aeoniums and echeverias, make an appealing group because their growth structures are all based on a rosette. Ideally choose small-leaved plants and suitable decorations to complement them.
