From sustainable finishes to multifunctional rooms, this home is seriously impressive.
Located down a leafy, picturesque street in one of Brisbane’s most prestigious suburbs, this abode uses a combination of minimalistic style and contemporary features for breathtaking results. The brilliantly designed project was spearheaded by O’Shea & Sons Builders and encompasses sleek lines and an open layout perfect for a summer of entertaining.
As with most projects, there were some hurdles to overcome during the build. The property was previously located on an overgrown, elevated vacant block of land with a protected Australian gum tree at the front. As it is located on a small lot, the space between the house and the adjoining property was limited. It is also sited on a narrow street with restricted parking due to the proximately of the University of Queensland.
However, Nick O’Shea of O’Shea & Sons Builders took on these challenges with gusto and his expertise show through in the fine details. Simple forms, cutting-edge materials and casual yet refined looks characterise the home’s timeless style. A design that was so good, it sold prior to completion, the project was commissioned by a property developer for the purposes of selling.
