ESSENTIAL TIPS
1 If you’re looking to increase daylight in your home, VELUX is the way to do it. Our roof windows bring in up to twice the amount of daylight as vertical windows of an equivalent size, helping make the space feel light, bright and airy.
2 Be confident you are installing the right number, type and size of roof windows in your new space to help you get the daylight just right. Our certified installers are trained to help home owners achieve this.
3 Make sure you choose the right windows for your space. For example, if you are converting your loftand are looking to take in panoramic views but you’re on a budget, we recommend considering a VELUX STUDIO roof window. With three window sashes in one frame, it offers more daylight where space for multiple windows is often limited. Or if you’re really hoping to bring the outside in, a VELUX CABRIO® Balcony will open up a loftconversion and provide an abundance of extra space.

You might think the process is purely creative, but designing knitted textiles requires a deep understanding of geometry and pattern calculations. It is intricate and often mathematical. I have learned that knitting demands a constant balance between artistry and engineering. Creating a new textile involves not only selecting colours and yarns but also considering the tensile strength, elasticity and drape of the material. That way, I ensure the final product is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. To me, this blend of creativity and technical precision is a fascinating aspect of knitted textile design.
