HOME NOTES

1 “I created an impactful entrance”
‘Balancing old and new was a careful consideration when we bought this property. We reconfigured the ground floor, opening up the space and incorporated the adjoining garage into the kitchen. We also added generous steel-framed doors to mark the transition between the entrance and the rest of the house. I enjoy the drama they bring and how they draw the eye towards the pendant light by Mathieu Challières which adds a playful element.’
Nothing STANDS STILL for long in our HOME. Next, I’d like to line the staircase with 600 suspended 3D BUTTERFLIES
2 “Candy colours always pep up a scheme”
‘I’ve always been drawn to those hues because they provide a pop of colour that’s easy to live with, as well as making a natural backdrop for artwork – particularly mid-century or graphic prints, posters and memorabilia. This is our son Harry’s chill-out space. Pastel coloured metal lockers are great for streamlined storage and to the right, we’ve add a playful graffiti wallpaper for a bit of edge and to offset the more delicate shades. I love using unexpected storage solutions too, such an oversize jar to contain a colourful Lego collection.’
