OCHRE

Emma Connell started Ochre in the hope of preserving the environment two years ago leaving her fashion background behind her. Ochre embodies an ethical and eco-friendly approach to candle-making. Each vessel is hand-poured with love in her studio in Carrickmines, Dublin using 100 per cent Eco Soy wax mixed with a blend of pure essential oils providing you with a cleaner burn that is better for both you and the environment. With her love of aromatherapy, you can expect further products launched later this year.

WOOLLY MAMMOTH FIBRE COMPANY

Woolly Mammoth Fibre Company creates naturally dyed, non-superwash, nylon-free yarn for knitters. They work with local farmers and shearers in Northern Ireland to obtain high-quality fleece before cleaning, batching and shipping these to a small mill in Wales for small-batch spinning. WMFC has also partnered with a wool mill in Yorkshire to develop bespoke project-specific yarns including robust 'natural sock'. Spun wool is then dyed with a range of traditional natural dye extracts, kitchen waste and responsibly gathered plants. New seasonal colours and yarn kits are available every month.
