Long, narrow, and typically without a courtyard unlike most landed properties, the inter-terrace typology can struggle to receive sufficient ventilation and natural light. As such, Adeline and Emmanuel, owners of this 3,500sq ft inter terrace in Yishun made it a priority to optimise daylight, as well as storage space, in their brief to their designer Yeep Mei Yi of Design Zage.
The couple approached the design firm after a previous project of theirs had caught their eye. The completed project had been expressed in their ideal aesthetic, a luxury resort-inspired contemporary style, so they felt confident that the Design Zage team could bring to life the home of their dreams.
With regards to the communal spaces, which are located on the first floor of the four-story house, the owners wanted the living room and kitchen to be expanded. The layout of the living area was inverted so that the sitting area is away from the main door.
