The fact that our bodies feel better motivates us to walk, run, jog, go to the gymnasium, play a sport, and even do sit-ups and pushups, or do aerobics or yoga. Yoga asanas balance our nervous system and increase the amount of oxygen to our brain thereby improving mental clarity, alertness and physical well being, besides controlling cholesterol levels and reducing weight. The most important benefit of yoga is that it is a physical and mental therapy.
