It's All Just for Show

It is, isn't it? Or What am i missing?

I WAS PLANNING TO DESCRIBE, in detail, how on my last trip, I lost my wallet, and the impossibility of a cashless society when you’ve had to cancel your cards for fear of fraud. That was before I was saddled with yet another meaningless administrative slice of paperwork: to make an internal presentation on what we were doing to enhance our business opportunities. Time that would have been better spent actually developing new business but which was spent on reiterating what we had done before, once more to our head office. We do this pretty much every quarter, like a recording on loop.
