More than just Daddy’s Little Girl all grown up, Georgia May Jagger reveals how she started off, and what it’s really like in the Jagger household.
Many models aspire to be rock ‘n’ roll, but only Georgia May Jagger can legitimately claim to be rock royalty. With model Jerry Hall and Rolling Stones legend Mick Jagger as parents, she may have inherited their genes and celebrity heritage, but the youngest sister of the Hall-Jagger clan has already proven her worth at 24 − and it was all in a day’s work.
By the time Georgia was 17, she had already accomplished more than the average teen. Since deciding to follow in the footsteps of her mother and two older sisters, Elizabeth and Jade, Georgia has taken the fickle world of fashion by storm.
But the gap-toothed 24-year-old was initially reluctant to strut her stuff. “I think I was just trying to rebel against the fact that my mum and my sister were doing it at the time, but ... I love it now.” She burst onto the scene with a campaign for Hudson Jeans – a collaboration that still continues to this day. Winning “Model Of The Year” at the British Fashion Awards 2009 the same year didn’t hurt either – it propelled her into the higher echelons of the industry.
Going from strength to strength, the list of brands she has worked for has been ever-growing, not to mention the amount of editorials and magazine covers. Here, she gets candid about what it was like with her rock ‘n’ roll parents, and why she doesn’t think fame is that important ...
