Scott Brown was Celtic’s inspirational captain and Scotland’s Player of the Year.
SCOTT Brown has enjoyed stunning success in the 11 seasons he’s starred for Celtic, but none have come close to matching his remarkable achievements over the past 12 months.
The skipper has been the inspirational leader on the pitch who has led the Hoops to an unprecedented feat in Scottish football - the Double Treble. But while that’s a tremendous accomplishment in itself, it’s only the tip of the iceberg to what the 32-year-old contributed to Celtic over the course of the campaign.
The midfielder’s form has never fluctuated from day one, his incredible consistency setting an example to his team-mates and driving the side on to glory. Whether it’s been domestic competition or the UEFA Champions League, Brown excelled. On the big occasions, he was always to the fore, taking responsibility and shouldering the burden of expectation.
