Confidence and belief are at the heart of the return to form of Scott Sinclair - and his team-mates.

CONSISTENCY is everything when competing at the top, but when the bar has been set so high, continuingly hitting the mark can sometimes elude individuals and teams for a period of time. For Scott Sinclair, work ethic and confidence have helped propel him back to the kind of form which won the hearts of Celtic supporters, and now he is aiming to replicate those moments game-by-game.

The Hoops winger’s game-time has been limited this season, with many of his appearances coming as a substitute. With less time to work with, making an impact in the fashion he has done over the last couple years has been an even greater challenge.

With team-mates like Scott Brown, Olivier Ntcham, Callum McGregor, Tom Rogic and James Forrest playing so well in midfield, securing a regular place in Brendan Rodgers’ starting XI has been difficult.

Sinclair admitted being on the bench hasn’t been the easy to take when he is so determined to play and work his way back to peak form. But patience and had hard work have paid off, and injuries within the team in recent weeks opened a window of opportunity for the 29-year-old, one he has grabbed with both hands.

“For me, being out of the team has been frustrating,” said Sinclair in an exclusive interview with the Celtic View. “At the same time, I’ve been working hard and that, along with some good performances, has got me back in the team.

“Hopefully, now I can pick up some consistency in how I’m playing. When you’re a sub, it’s very difficult for a player to come on and make an impact. When you start the game you can warm into it and get yourself going.
