Chris Davies says that Celtic’s relentless drive for success will continue in the remaining games.
HISTORY has already been re-written this season with Celtic recording the club’s best start to a domestic campaign for 100 years, and it’s not over yet.
Brendan Rodgers and his backroom staff have led the Hoops to a sixth successive league title and secured the League Cup in their first season at the helm. Now, they are one victory away from completing the club’s first treble in 16 years as they prepare to take on Aberdeen in the final of the Scottish Cup on, May 27.
In keeping with the Celts’ tremendous success on the pitch, the Hoops boss was named PFA Manager of the Year last weekend.
And, it was a clean sweep for Celtic at the glittering awards ceremony in Glasgow, as Scott Sinclair picked up the Player of the Year gong, while Kieran Tierney was awarded the Young Player of the Year accolade and Moussa Dembele received recognition for his Goal of the Season, which was the result of a 24-pass move, in a 5-2 victory over St Johnstone in February.
In an exclusive interview with the Celtic View, Assistant Manager, Chris Davies, feels that it’s no surprise that the Hoops are dominating the awards season.
He said: “The manager is fully deserving of the award. I think Brendan is the best home-grown manager of our generation and I think his qualities are very holistic.
“He’s a very good man-manager and all the players that work with him will tell you that. He has a good rapport with all players and makes time for people. Obviously, he’s learned from the top level and managed at the top level, so tactically, he’s excellent.
