As we emerged rather bleary-eyed from our hotel quarantine experience, the contrast to the wintry weather conditions we had left behind in Copenhagen was immense. Warmth hit us, and now we luxuriate in its reliability, with the welcome combination of azure skies and more overcast days.
We have lived in many different countries over the last 15 years, but this is the first time the train has stopped in Asia. We have been expatriate guests in Australia, Italy, South Africa, Germany and Argentina. We have also lived for certain periods in our respective homelands of Denmark and the UK.
