Former MP and human rights activist Braema mathi has been aggressively fighting for the cause of migrant workers in Singapore.

You can practice any virtue erratically, but nothing consistently without courage.’ This quote by Maya Angelou aptly describes for Singapore-based human rights activist Braema Mathi, who has worked relentlessly for several years fighting the cause of the marginalised.
A former Nominated Member of Parliament in Singapore, a two term former President of the Association of Women for Action and Research (AWARE), and former Vice-President of Action for AIDS, she led Transient Workers Count Too and its precursor, The Working Committee 2 (TWC2) from 2002 to 2007, and is a founding member of MARUAH (Singapore Working Group for an ASEAN Human Rights Mechanism). Mathi has previously worked as a teacher, a journalist, in senior management and in research.
