Are you feeding your gut right? It is common knowledge that our bodies are home to trillions of bacteria, and just our gut alone is home to 500 species and 1.4kg of bacteria. However, not many people know that the bacteria in our gut determine how obese or how lean we get with the combination of food we consume daily.
When we eat, what we’re really feeding are the trillions of bacteria that reside in our gut. These bacteria determine how our bodies store fat, the way we break down glucose in the blood, and how we respond to hormones that makes us feel hungry or full. So not only does feeding these bacteria affects our weight, it also affects our health and brain activity as well.
To start feeding your gut healthy, first you need to know your bad fats from the good fats.
