Make sure you give your baby a safe environment to grow up in.
Bringing your bundle of joy home? You want to make sure that your home is perfect in every way and more importantly, safe. But baby-proofing is not just for the safety of the baby, but also for that of the mother. Remember that it must start before the baby arrives and before the new mum gets busy. This will also ensure a safer environment for the new mother as she multitasks, running the home and caring for a baby. Make sure the home doesn’t have slippery or wet floors or electrical wires running across the floor which could lead you to trip and fall. Also, ensure that all the rugs and foot mats are non-slip.
When a baby starts crawling, it is a very exciting time for the family and for the baby herself, who is thrilled by her new mobility. All her curiosity can be satiated by speedily crawling over to the wonders that exist in her home and putting them into her mouth. While one doesn’t want to disrupt her adventures, one does want the baby to have a healthy and safe environment to explore in. Below is a simple list of things to do when it comes to baby-proofing your home.
