Think back. Once upon a time, you had spontaneous, rip-off your-clothes sex. Then you had a baby and – whoops! – there went the fun stuff. Exhausted by night feeds and general mum stress, you’re probably not in the mood as often as you used to be. And, despite the myth that blokes are up for it at every opportunity, new dads feel sex fatigue, too. “However enlightened we are, we somehow think a man’s penis will drop off if it isn’t ‘serviced’ regularly, like a car,” says Dr Petra Boynton, UK-based sex expert and social psychologist at University College London. “But lots of new dads don’t feel like it all the time, either,” she adds.
