DELTA GOOD REM ' I LOVE MAKING MY PARENTS PROUD'

Bridge Over Troubled Dreams, Delta Goodrem’s sixth album and the accompanying book of the same name, reveal the Aussie songstress in a brand new light, while also sharing intimate, never-before-heard details of her childhood.

And as Delta tells New Idea, she’s still discovering things about herself for the first time – at the age of 36!

“After a reset I think it’s important you go through a rebirth of sorts,” she says, adding, “as you get older, I think it’s easier to not care what other people think.”

Here, Delta opens up about the importance of self-love and her contagious confidence...

You speak in the book about embracing the highs and lows of life. Have you always been like this?

I have always been hopeful by nature. I am very lucky that my parents raised me to always be grateful for opportunities that come my way. The idea of hope and never giving up is a prominent theme in my music.

There is a real sense of strength in your new album. When do you feel you are most confident?
