AT 65 YEARS OLD, LESLEY MAXWELL IS TURNING HEADS AND STEALING HEARTS

When Lesley Maxwell was told she looked frail at 49, the defiant grandmother of three turned back the clock to become stronger and happier than ever.

Now, the fitness-obsessed grandma performs in body sculpting competitions and fields proposals from men 30 years her junior!

Lesley, who shares her age-defying journey online, has over 65,000 Instagram followers from across the world and has won numerous titles in competitions globally.

“Before, I was a quiet and shy person with no body confidence,” she tells New Idea. Now, she isn’t afraid to strip off for a saucy photoshoot.

It all started 16 years ago when Lesley, now 65, was working as a makeup artist. She suffered frequent asthma attacks and one time fell sick with pneumonia, which landed her in the hospital for a week.

“People started calling me frail, but I wasn’t ready to grow old,” she recalls.

Brainstorming ways to get back in shape, she came across a body-sculpting competition on TV, where women were wearing body glitter and bikinis.
