Back in their small-screen heydays, Friends and Sex and the City fought each other for ratings, while Jennifer Aniston and Sarah Jessica Parker’s fandom battled over who was the most-loved TV heroine.

Now after some false starts, it appears the iconic noughties shows are finally gearing up for a rematch.

New Idea has learnt that a third SATC movie is finally back on the table with the news that the years-long feud between SJP and Kim Cattrall has finally been resolved. An insider tells New Idea: “Time’s been a great healer and the girls have put their bad feelings aside.”

Tensions really erupted two years ago when Sarah Jessica – who played Carrie Bradshaw on the hit show – attempted to express her condolences following the death of Kim’s brother.

She wrote on Twitter, “Dearest Kim, my love and condolences to you and yours and Godspeed to your beloved brother. Xx.”

But Kim, who found fame depicting glamorous New York maneater Samantha Jones, snapped back: “You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona.”
