Sam Wood is a father of three, a personal trainer, and self-confessed man on a mission to help people move more, eat better, and make positive changes in their life.

Here, the former Bachelor star discusses the importance of working out with his wife, Snezana, and their daughters, Eve, Willow, and Charlie, and the easy steps to achieve this – hint, don’t use the word ‘exercise’.

WHY IS WORKING OUT AS A FAMILY IMPORTANT?

For a number of reasons, but first and foremost it means you’re being a good role model for your children. You can never underestimate how much they absorb what you do and say, but it’s so much more than that – getting active with your kids is so enjoyable! Whether it’s bike rides with the little ones or going for a jog with Evie, it’s a great way to bond, connect, and spend good quality time with each other.

ANY TIPS FOR TALKING TO KIDS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF EXERCISE?

I think the key is that you probably don’t mention the word ‘exercise’. It’s all about playing, moving, and having fun. Once you adopt that terminology, that’s what kids focus on and that’s what they should focus on. But most importantly – make it fun.
