Belinda Was An Unhealthy 145kg But Now She’s Proud To Show Off Her Big Dress

Flicking through the delicate pages of her wedding album, Belinda Brodie, 32, says it’s hard to believe the young bride in the photographs is her.

Despite being 10 years older now, the mum-of-one from Perth says she feels younger and healthier than ever before after dropping an incredible 77kg and six dress sizes since her wedding. Thinking back to the big day, in 2009, Belinda tells New Idea: “While it was the happiest day of my life, being a 145kg bride wasn’t easy.

“Finding the perfect wedding dress should have been a fun experience, but being a size 24 meant there were very limited options, so I had to pay more for it be made to measure.”

After trying on countless gowns in stores, she was forced to order her wedding dress online before tying the knot with the love of her life, Travis Brodie, now 31.
