FEARS ARE RAISED AS SHE WITHDRAWS FROM PUBLIC EVENTS

Last year, Princess Anne once again topped Britain’s hardest-working royal list, notching up a whopping 387 official engagements – edging out even her brother and future king, Prince Charles.

But the Princess Royal has dropped off the radar almost entirely over the past two months, leading courtiers to wonder if something might be amiss.

“Anne usually instructs her staff to fill her diary,” explains New Idea’s insider. “She can’t stand being idle and likes to set a good example for the younger royals when it comes to work ethic. But hardly anyone has seen her since before Christmas.

“This is unprecedented for Anne … she’s known for doing more than two public outings in one day. Something must be very serious for her to be ‘missing in action’ so to speak.”
