The Power of Sleeping

All qualified doctors recommend enough sleep even though they may be unable or unwilling to sleep more due to their medical commitments. Secondly, even without any medical advice, all our forefathers believed in the importance of enough sleep and practiced it without hesitation. But in the last two decades, good sleep has developed a bad reputation.

Do you know why? This is because sleep is considered an enemy of productivity and efficiency. Almost all modern harassed executives and ignorant youth today believe that they can achieve more only if they sleep less. They believe that more sleep is only for young children and pensioners, and not for youngsters. For them, sleep is a waste of time, and believe that a mere four to five hours of sleep is more than enough to be energetic and productive.

But the high cost of not sleeping well is enormous and can have many bad effects. Less sleep is not something to be admired or appreciated. Now let us look at the dangers of less sleep.

Lack of sleep causes many chronic health problems like diabetes, heart disease, obesity, irritation, etc. This is why such people get angry at many small things. For example, sleep-deprived people are highly prone to road rage than well-rested people.
