The new OnePlus 5 variant with a bigger display, Face Unlock
OnePlus has been at the forefront when it comes to providing quality and flagship performance on a budget. OnePlus 5 was a proof of that when they launched the device back in June last year and now the company is back again with the OnePlus 5T. But is the new OnePlus device as good as the OnePlus 5? Let’s find out.
DESIGN
The OnePlus 5T borrows its good looks from the OnePlus 5 but comes with a few changes. For instance, the phone is slightly taller and the fingerprint scanner on the front found on the OnePlus 5 has been moved to the back of the OnePlus 5T. The reason? To accommodate OnePlus 5T’s larger screen.
The phone features an aluminium unibody that looks and feels premium, and while the phone’s not compact, it is slim at 7.3mm. Port and physical button placements include a power button on the right; volume keys and alert slider on the right; and a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port and loudspeaker at the bottom.
Interestingly, the regular OnePlus 5T comes in a single colour - Midnight Black but OnePlus has also started selling a limited edition phone that offers the phone in white colour.
