Body hair has always been a much debated subject. Should it be removed? Should it be left on? Where should it be removed from? How should it be removed? These questions were answered in different ways through the ages and the implements used changed and improved with time. It started with scraping hair off with a rock – the preferred method for cavemen – went on to sugaring (ancient Egyptians), threading, shaving, waxing, electrolysis, laser...Almost all of the above are common practices today. SHAVING
It’s simple. You get into the shower, rub on some shaving gel or soap and with a few strokes of your razor, you are ready to rock that short number. This is one of the easiest and least painful methods of removing body hair. No wonder then that so many of us swear by it. The downside, however, is that shaving removes hair only from above the surface of the skin and so it grows back quickly – some even need to shave as often as every other day. Expert Speak “If you have dry skin and shave without a cleansing lotion or shaving cream, it can lead to skin burns and even cuts. It is extremely important to shave in the direction of the hair growth, because if you don’t, it can result in ingrown hair.
