ALIVE|June 2017

This dastardly action will cost jihadis and their Pakistani sponsors dearly.

Killing Of On Leave Kashmiri Army Officer

A young and unarmed Kashmiri officer of Indian Army Lt Ummer Fayaz on leave to attend a family wedding was abducted from his home and brutally shot dead by the Pakistani-sponsored jihadis in Shopian district of South Kashmir on the night of 9 May.

Needless to say, this has triggered widespread outrage in J&K and whole of the country. By this stupid act of theirs these brainless jihadis and their joker Pakistani sponsors have scored their own self goal.

Lt Ummer Fayaz, who belongs to Sudsuna village of Kulgam district of Kashmir Valley, was commissioned into Rajputana Rifles barely five months ago. He had gone on leave to his maternal uncle, Mohammad Maqbool’s house in Batapora to attend his cousin sister’s marriage.

On the night of 9 May at 10 pm, four armed jihadis barged into his place and took him away. They killed him 4 kms away from his house by firing on his face and abdomen. There were also injury marks on the body of the officer indicating that he had put up stiff resistance against the abductors.

Last week only a video had gone viral in social media in which these jihadis are seen torturing two Kashmir Valley youths who have been selected in entry to the J&K State police. In other words, these incidents are clear message by the Pakistan sponsored jihadis to intimidate youth in Kashmir Valley to not join police or the security forces.
