First West Ham game
September 10, 1994. Liverpool away. Tony Cottee was sent off, I think, but we held on for a nil-nil. The song “and we’re better than you, ten men” dominated the proceedings.
Favourite game
Liverpool at home in the FA Cup replay. Flew over with my best mate Jon to say goodbye to Upton Park, and met many new friends I will be close to for years to come.
Worst game
That 4-3 loss to Spurs at home in 2007, conceding two late goals to blow it. My son was an infant, and as I held him while he cried at night, all I could think was “Greenie, how could you give up that rebound?!”
