Yuvi has given it his all as was evident in the launch ceremony which was attended by an array of stars....
Cricketer Yuvraj Singh has always donned several hats. Apart from being the swashbuckling batsman that he is, Yuvi has also been investing in a number of startups via his company YouWeCan (YWC) Ventures. And now, the 34-year-old has launched his own clothing line YWC which is intended to concentrate on athletics or sports-inspired wear. Yuvraj hopes that his brand would set a name for itself in the coming years and would be worth Rs 100 crore in the next three years.
“It would be an athletic fashion clothing line for men, women and children. While 70 per cent would be men’s fashion the rest would be women’s. The brand foresees to close somewhere around Rs 25-30 crore in topline in the current financial year and we see it becoming a Rs 100 crore brand in three years,” Singh told a business based website.
Yuvi is confident about his product and is certain that it would find its takers both in the offline and online market pretty soon. “We are confident the brand would find takers both offline as well as online. I am not worried about sales, I am confident about the line-up and am pretty sure sales will pick up. Last two years, we have done a lot of R&D on fashion and we know we have a great line-up,” he stated confidently.
Yuvraj has collaborated with designers Shantanu and Nikhil for his brand which will aim for the betterment of cancer patients via YouWeCan (YWC). Yuvraj, who is a cancer survivor, had launched YWC four years back to help other cancer patients. But raising funds for the foundation has been difficult and hence the cricketer has come up with this initiative in the hope of getting enough funds to help cancer patients complete their treatment. This indeed is a noble endeavour and one can only hope that Yuvraj succeeds in his mission soon enough.
