Presenting the overall winner of iFitness Cover Model Search 2016.
Captivating us with his washboard figure and unparalleled charisma at the recent iFitness Cover Model Search competition, fresh-faced stud Clement Chan was a clear winner in our eyes.
Citing the opportunity to gain more experience as his reason for joining the competition, the Food Science and Technology undergrad tells us, “There are lots of negative connotations associated with beauty contests such as superficiality, hence I did have initial doubts about joining this contest. However, the courage to challenge myself made me look past that. I could only grow out of the experience, so why not give it a shot?”
Wise words, and wise decision – little did he know that he’d be (cat)walking away with cash $1500, a four-night stay at Loama Resort, Maldives at Maamigili and a NOW Model Management modelling contract!
Revealing an affable and fun-loving personality, Clement shares more about his modelling experience, and divulges some fun facts about himself – including which animal his friends liken him to. Read on to find out!
Were you previously involved in modelling?
Yes. Previously, I was assigned event jobs such as ushering and giving out free samples in town. The only other competition I took part in was my university pageant which was extremely memorable. The experience was largely centred on the strong sense of community in school and I really felt my friends’ and family’s support on the night of the finale. It also gave me confidence to try out modelling when the university held a casting call for student models. From there, I was shortlisted to do fashion shows in school and thereafter scouted by a modelling agency.
