Recently, a 22-year-old female employee of a Chinese Internet company died suddenly on her way home from work at 1:30 a.m. This incident once again triggered debate and concerns about the overwork culture of some companies.
Some people feel content with the “996” system, while others resent it. Supporters say if we want to live a better life and develop a career, it seems that there is no other way but to accept it. Opponents argue that this kind of work system does not comply with the law, and is also harmful to health.
