The Country Music Legend Explores Spirituality in His Latest Film, the Shack.

Tim McGraw isn’t about to quit his day job — in fact, he and wife Faith Hill, 49, will embark on a joint tour in April — but the country music superstar has built a thriving sideline on the big screen. From Friday Night Lights and The Blind Side to his latest film, the faith-based drama The Shack, Tim, 49, says he looks for “a great story that moves and inspires you.” Based on the bestselling novel, The Shack focuses on Mack, a grieving father who has a rendezvous with God that helps him heal and forgive; Tim plays Mack’s friend Willie, and he and Faith contributed a song, “Keep Your Eyes on Me,” to the movie’s soundtrack. He talks about family, switching gears and the film he had to fight for.
