Clinical Pontus Is Set-Piece King

The Canaries altered their usual marking tactics to accommodate the threat of Jansson, but that didn’t stop the Swede from popping up with the firsthalf winner.

Farke admitted that losing the game in the fashion they did was frustrating. “We knew that Pontus was their biggest threat,” said Farke.

“Normally we defend everything in zonal marking but out there we changed it because he is such a big threat.

“I have to say it was a brilliant header. He was clinical in his finish. We have to defend better in these situations.

“It was generally a really good away performance. It was a really close game in the first half and in many periods of the first half we dominated and created chances.

“It’s a tough away game at Leeds. It’s frustrating and disappointing that we will be driving home with no points.”
