Actor Rupert Everett says he felt “no guilt” over his six-year affair with TV star Paula Yates – a love that he said mystified him as a gay man.
Rupert, 61, was in the secret relationship with the presenter behind the back of her husband, Bob Geldof. He says he was “in love” with Paula and simply “ignored” the presence of Live Aid hero Bob in her life.
Fresh details of the sensational affair are revealed in tonight’s episode of Piers Morgan’s Life Stories.
Shakespeare In Love star Rupert said: “We were very, very close, I must say, for a long time, and she’s someone that I adored and still do.
“I think I was in love with her. I adored her.”
Host Piers then asks: “How did you square off Bob in all this?”
